Wireless Print Drivers for Windows

Please follow these instructions to install print drivers on your Windows computer or laptop that will enable printing to the libraries' printers.

Note: Information Technology Services (ITS) does not offer support for the wireless print drivers. If you experience problems, please use one of the Libraries' computers or a computer in a Student Computer Lab to print your job.

1. Download the printer package for the location(s) where you would like to print:

Neilson Mair Room B & W printer (Print Release Station B)

Neilson Mair Room Color printer (Print Release Station C) 

Hillyer B & W printer

Hillyer Color printer

Josten  B & W printer

Young B & W printer

Young Color printer


2. Double click the icon on your desktop to install the printer drivers.

3. Click Finish when the install is complete.

4. Now, when you're ready to print, click Print in your application as you normally would; a print dialog window will open where you can chose the printer you want to use. Select the appropriate printer and click on Print.

5. The Pharos popup client will ask you for your Smith Network username. See How to Print for more information.

6. Go to the appropriate Print Release Station to release and pay for your job. See How to Print for more information.

To activate 2-sided printing:

  1. Go to the Start Menu and select Devices and Printers
  2. Right click on Mair 930-B (B&W) or Mair-Color-R on LIBPS1 (for color) and choose Printer Properties
  3. Go to the Device Option tab (color printer: Device Settings)
  4. In the middle of the window see Change settings for: Duplex Module (color printer: look for Installable Options)
  5. Click that drop-down and change to Available from Not Available (color printer: under Installable Options click on Duplex Unit; if it shows as Not Installed, click on Not Installed and choose Installed from the drop-down)
  6. Click Apply
  7. Click OK to exit
